Burn The Witch is a First Person Body Cam Horror game that takes place deep in the woods.

Our player character, Caleb, is a paranormal detective and hunter tasked with summoning a Succubus that has claimed victims with its siren. Caleb must hunt her down whilst simultaneously navigating a brutal break-up with his ex-girlfriend, Chelsea.

Equipped with his flashlight, pistol and his beloved car, The Witch, Caleb records his hunt for his clientele with a body camera in order to validate his contract.

Each level event and location is a challenge that Caleb must overcome, as each are symbolically aligned with the common stages of breaking up.

I had a lot of fun with this :) I think I bugged the ending(?) somehow though, as I couldn't "burn the witch" properly and the game did not proceed or finish there. Overall the style and feel of the game were awesome though.

Here's my gameplay video on Youtube :)

Thanks for playing and finding the time to record a Lets Play of our game!

An even bigger thank you for finding an endgame bug, which we'll be addressing in our planned future updates.

It really means a lot to have our first ever recorded session from a player, and we appreciate the time you put into the editing (with a sick thumbnail too).

Would you mind if we shared this link across all of our socials and tag you?

Pleasure was all mine :) And thanks for asking, you can share the vid all you want!

Parece um bom jogo, mas tentei rodar em uma GTX1050/ i5/ 8GB e não funcionou bem, está travando muito.

This was pretty good, although I did get the car stuck on only slightly raised geometry at one point, which took far too much forward-and-reversing to clear - I'd suggest putting a "shove car" contextual command in there somewhere.

Aside from that, this was a pleasant surprise, nice work 👍

Thank you for your feedback!

A mechanic to push the car if it gets stuck is a great suggestion. Do you remember roughly where you became stuck?

Very glad to hear you enjoyed your playthrough. We plan on delivering future updates that enhance QOL, so thank you for your suggestion, it goes a long way!

I got stuck on a slightly raised piece of ground roughly in the centre of the map (it looked like a separate mesh rather than part of the geometry of the terrain). Presumably the technical issue was that the car was elevated in such a way that none of the wheels were able to gain enough traction for the car to start moving again 🤔

(Now that I think about it, I didn't try melee - that's a pretty mighty foot Caleb's got right there...! If melee doesn't already work on the car yet, that could be a thematically consistent solution... 😁)

the graphics are nice but i dont really know what i gotta do,its nice that the game is an opened world and all but i guess with out clear objectives im kinda running around

Im sure if i had read the beastiary i would of had an ideea of what to do

We appreciate the feedback!

The vehicle helps guide the player through the game. Your car and the Beastiary are there to help you through your journey.

The Beastiary is very useful towards your playthrough! You'll find tons of clues and information that will feed you knowledge on your past and also your current mission. alternatively, you can explore the open world yourself and learn more through dialogue.

Thank you for leaving a comment and a rating. We would appreciate if you have the time to play our previous project, "Palmageddon", which we would love to have your feedback on that project too!
